Originally sold through Aston Martin Main Agents Bradbury's, this DB6 was delivered to its first registered owner, I.D.C. Group Transport Ltd. on November 12, 1965, as a 1966 model year DB6. The DB6 was delivered with the following factory options: Chrome wire wheels, Chrome three-eared knockoffs, Heated rear screen and Power antenna.

The DB6 was one of the finest GT cars of the era. In comparison to its predecessor, the DB5, it had more interior space for passenger comfort as well as a larger boot for increased luggage capacity. The DB6 also had revised rear bodywork in comparison to the DB4's and 5's before it, featuring a rear Kammtail design which much improved high speed stability.

Other than having been serviced at Aston Martin, Newport Pagnell during its early years, much of this DB6's early history is unknown. Records on file attest to this DB6's low mileage from new and accumulating 61,000 original miles to date.

In 2015-2016 and with 57,000 miles at the time, this DB6 was fully restored by Aston Martin marque specialists, documenting all with both invoices as well as photographs within its history file. At this time, and during its engine rebuild, the engine displacement was increased from 4.0 to 4.2 liter for its increased power and torque. The chassis and body were also refinished to the highest standards, the chassis-suspension receiving a Harvey Bailey handling (uprated springs as well as front anti-rollbar) for much improved road holding. At this time, electronic-adjustable power steering was supplied and installed.

In 2019, the interior was retrimmed from Black to its current Blue Connolly Vaumol leather and new Wilton wool carpeting.

Only a few years ago, this DB6 was sold to its most recent ownership, a well-known and respected UK collector by Nicholas Mee and Co. Having several Astons in the collection, including a DB6 Mk2 Coupe, an opportunity arose to purchase a rare V8 Vantage Zagato from the Autosport Designs, Inc. inventory. Subsequently, having no need for two DB6's, this DB6 was traded in part exchange towards the V8 Zagato. At this time, this DB6 was transported and imported to the United States.

Upon our recent video road test, we thoroughly enjoyed this DB6 on the road and can attest to its being exceptional in every area at this time, turn key and ready for immediate, road use and enjoyment, the concours lawn or better yet, both.

This DB6 is complete with its Original factory build sheet, Ownership, Service and Restoration files and photos as well as its Original owner's handbook, Spare keys, Factory tool kit and Factory Jack.
