SOLD 1989 ASTON MARTIN LAGONDA 4-DOOR SEDAN
Click for photos

--Cannock Black with Parchment leather interior piped Black, Black carpeting, 12,000 miles from new, Automatic transmission, One of the very last inported to the USA.

This Lagonda is a rare Series 4 model. William Towns, the original designer came back to AML to give this last series a 'make over' prior to Lagonda being honorably retired. The lines were softened, the pop-up headlights were replaced in favor of new six headlamp units and the waist level trim was removed, the outcome was the removal of the early series Lagonda’s sharp edges in favor of a move rounder edge in this last series.

Lagonda’s are rare cars with a total of only 627 examples being built over its 12-year production run, even rarer still is the Series 4 examples of which only 105 were manufactured for the world market, this included both RHD and LHD examples.

This Lagonda is powered by an all alloy dohc 5.4 liter fuel injected V8 developing 305 bhp @ 5500 rpm and 288 lb. ft. of torque @ 5500 rpm, 6.5 seconds 0-60 with a top speed of 150 mph.

This particular Series 4 Lagonda is a well maintained, extremely low mileage example that will turn heads at first glance.

1981 ASTON MARTIN V8 (OSCAR INDIA) COUPE
Click for photos

--Canterbury Blue with Natural leather and Natural Wilton Wool carpeting, 40,000 miles, 5-speed manual.

This V8 Coupe is a rare find in the United States, very few V8 “Oscar India” Coupe models were imported from 1980-1989 (for example only four from 1986-1989), instead the norm was for Aston dealers to stock the Volante model and have Coupes manufactured by special order, thus having to wait for almost one full year for delivery.

During seven and a half years of production, a total of 291 “Oscar India” cars were made, of those approximately 20 made it to the United States shores, which make this a rare find indeed.

A beautifully maintained US spec V8 Coupe in every respect, this V8 Coupe has been enthusiastically owned by its previous owners to date. It was last sold it its current owner by Autosport Designs, Inc. over ten years ago and is currently serviced and ready for immediate use by its next, new owner.

This would be a wonderful candidate for conversion to European specification chrome bumpers or maybe even Vantage cosmetics if wanted by its next owner.

It is complete with records and previous ownership history.

This Three-Litre Tourer is Matching numbers, Original frame, Exception Provenance, Mutliple concour award winner, Documented in Green’s “Fifty Years of the Marque”, Correct in every way with original open bodywork by one of the premier English coachbuilders, Gurney Nutting.

The ownership history is believed to be as follows:
• Mr. John McMeeking of Southampton, England, original owner;
• 1940’s-1956, Captain Ivan Finchow of Lygarth, Dorset;
• Imported to the USA in 1956 by Neil McDade of Chattanooga, Tennessee;
• Soon after, this car became a part of the famed collection of Bernie Goldflies of Dayton, Ohio;
• Richard Fisher acquired the Three-Litre in 1962.

In 1968, George Evenson of Washington State purchased the Bentley and it remained in his care for approximately 25 years, during which time it was driven, shown and cherished. Throughout his ownership, the Bentley was kept in heated garages and his enthusiastic use saw the car earn prizes and participate in a number of tours and rallies.   BUGATTIS FOR SALE

1938 BUGATTI 57C ROADSTER COACHWORK IN THE STYLE OF CORSICA
Click for photos

--Blue with Saddle Tan leather interior and Tan carpeting, Documented by the American Bugatti Club, Comprehensive Mechanical Restoration by Jim Stranberg, 3,257 CC DOHC Inline 8-Cylinder Engine with Roots Type Supercharger, 4-Speed Manual Gearbox and 4-Wheel Hydraulic Drum Brakes.

According to the American Bugatti Club records, chassis number 57577 began life as a Stelvio Cabriolet which was delivered on October 8, 1938, to the agent Monestier for his client, Glaizal. It is believed that the current Corsica rebody was constructed and fitted many decades ago after the chassis had been shortened to accommodate the more sporting appearance.

According to club registrar Mr. Sandy Leith, the Bugatti should really be catalogued in the registry as 57577, not as 57584, which it currently shows. There seems to be little doubt that the frame, engine and rear axle assemblies are derived from the same car; therefore, it is quite likely that this car represents the continuous history of chassis number 57577, with engine number C15 and gearbox number 248 – numbers which were recorded during a past inspection.

The Corsica-style roadster coachwork on the Bugatti is a striking homage to one of the most famous Type 57s, chassis number 57593, a rakish 57S originally designed by Eric Giles for his brother Colonel Godfrey Giles, former Chairman of the British Bugatti Owners Club. More recently, this car sat in the superior collection of John Mozart and received Best of Show at the 1998 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. A stunning open Bugatti, the Giles Roadster is surely one of the most suitable candidates after which to style a new body.

Many years ago, this 57 was imported to the US and, more recently, it has undergone a thorough mechanical restoration by renowned Bugatti specialist Mr. Jim Stranberg of High Mountain Classics, whose restorations have garnered countless awards, including the prestigious Best of Show at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.

A recent full service has been carried out, it runs extremely well and remains in concour condition throughout showing very few signs of wear. The overall quality is exceptional in every respect and its mechanical preparation is second to none. Being constructed on a genuine, professionally shortened Type 57C chassis enables this car to be eligible for countless events and tours organized by the American Bugatti Club and the Bugatti Owners’ Club. Its splendid lightweight open coachwork is sure to draw attention and, with its proper supercharged twin-cam straight eight, should provide ample performance. This is a unique opportunity for Bugatti aficionados and enthusiastic collectors alike.

SOLD 1951 FORD F1 PICK UP
Click for photos

--Sheridan Blue with Grey and Blue vinyl interior, 500 miles since complete, thorough, two year restoration to exacting standards, 239 CID Flathead V8 engine, 3-speed column shift manual gearbox.

Introduced in 1948, Ford’s F-Series was the replacement for the car-based pickups built before WWII. The F-Series became the standard in pickups and had a widespread appeal. Everyone from farmers to hot-rodders developed an affinity for the charming Ford trucks and they became so popular that each of Ford’s 16 assembly lines produced the model in order to meet demand. While the styling remained relatively unchanged over the four-year production run, in 1951, the front of the truck was redesigned. These examples, with their classic, aero-inspired grille and improved interior layout, are the most sought-after by collectors.

This handsome 1951 Ford F1 led a charmed life in the dry, forgiving climate of Tucson, Arizona, before moving north to the White Mountains region. Almost 50 years after it was first sold, this flathead Pickup was discovered by a retired machinist who saw the potential for a show-winner in this iconic truck.

Over the next five years, a painstaking restoration was undertaken that required the truck to be completely disassembled and saw every part either restored or replaced. Missing parts were located during an exhaustive, two-year countrywide search and every attempt was made to restore the car to factory specifications with only a few thoughtful upgrades. The grille bullets have been chromed to bring out their beautiful design and the bed features solid oak that has been sanded and varnished to a rich finish. The complete restoration is fully documented.

This F1 has been a proven winner and has received a number of awards including first place, Best of Class, Best Truck, Best Ford and even Best of Show at a variety of gatherings.

It is a stunning presentation and there is no doubt that this F1 Pickup is one of the finest examples in the country.

--Solar Yellow with Black leather interior, 6-speed manual gearbox, New-Delivery Mileage.

For 2010 the front end design has been restyled to include a larger, more angular air intake to help funnel more air through the radiator to improve the efficiency of the engine. Ahead of the front wheels, two new-additional intakes feed airflow to the twin oil coolers. For 2010, the rear wing has been uprated to replicate the Exige GT3 road car concept shown at the 2007 Geneva Motorshow, thus the new rear wing is 7.1” wider, mounted 1.8 inches higher and is 2.4” further back. The new rear wing is mounted to the rear body shell via end plates which not only increases the stiffness of the whole body structure but also ensure that as much of the airflow as possible passes over the rear wing. This careful airflow management increases stability, reduces drag and maintains impressive downforce.

SOLD 1967 MASERATI MEXICO SPECIALE BODIED BY FRUA
Click for photos

--Burgundy with Tan leather interior and Tan carpeting, One of three prototypes commissioned by Maserati, the first Mexico built, Frua coachwork, 5-speed manual.

The first Maserati Mexico, chassis AM112.001, was sent to Pietro Frua’s coachbuilding firm in 1966 to be clothed in experimental coachwork to determine the look of Maserati’s forthcoming limited-production GT. Destined to become one of three prototypes commissioned (one Frua, one Bertone and one Vignale), the Mexico Speciale presented here exhibits the delightful details and design cues typical of Maserati cars bodied by one of the company’s oldest collaborators.

The elegant Speciale features headlights recessed into chrome-accents in the front fenders, similar to those of the Mistral, a graceful greenhouse and gently sweeping upper lines comparable to the Frua-bodied 5000 GT.

Eventually, the Frua prototype was exported from Italy through custom car designer and occasional broker Tom Meade. In 2003, the Mexico was proudly displayed at Concorso Italiano alongside a number of coachbuilt Maseratis ranging from the earliest A6Gs to the most exclusive 5000GTs.

Known in Maserati circles as the Mexico Speciale, this unique example is widely held to be one of the most important and significant Maseratis of its generation. Given its illustrious history and exclusive status, this car is eligible for countless events from Maserati Club meets to long-distance rallies.

This is a rare opportunity to acquire a fascinating, one-off prototype that possesses a known history, quality coachwork and a marvelous style. For the devoted Maserati enthusiast, or collectors of unique post-war sports cars.

It was also the co-star of a couple of feature films including Bundle of Joy with Eddie Fischer and Mister Cory with Tony Curtis. After completing the show circuit it was owned for many years by Virgil Exner himself, this itself this is quite unusual since most Concept Cars were destroyed by their respective factory.

There are few cars offered in the market today that represent an opportunity to own a piece of Automotive History such as this. Concept and Motorama Automobiles from the mid fifties are based on factory presentations of what the future held for motoring. These ideas were the penultimate when the “Dream Car” became a functioning, driving and well toured vehicle.

Exceptionally restored, The Belmont has been shown at some of the finest and most prestigious concours in the United States and has won many, many trophies over the years. Today, still in absolutely exceptional condition throughout, it is offered for the first time in many, many years.

SOLD 1964 PONTIAC CATALINA 2+2 CONVERTIBLE
Click for photos

--Grenadier Red with Black interior, Black carpeting and White vinyl convertible top, 21,000 Original miles, 389 CID OHV V-8 engine, 306 BHP at 4,600 RPM, 4 speed manual.

Throughout its history, Pontiac consistently included high-performance prestige models into their production catalogue, such was the case with the full-size Catalina.

In 1964, customers could select a $291 package and transform the standard Catalina hardtop coupe or convertible into the sporty 2+2. The package included a distinctive bucket-seat interior with a center console and unique 2+2 badging that helped separate the car from its more standard contemporaries. A mere 7,998 customers decided to order the 2+2 package in 1964, a small number when compared with the production run of some 32,000 GTOs. As a result of its more subdued appearance and rarity, survival rates for the 2+2 are not high, and low-mileage survivors like this spectacular convertible are almost unheard of.

Originally invoiced to a dealer in Cleveland, Ohio, this 2+2 was built on May 22, 1964. It is equipped with power steering, power brakes, the highly desirable eight-lug wheels, dual exhaust, console-mounted Pontiac tachometer and a Safe-T-Track limited-slip differential. Other options include an AM radio, backup lights, two-speed electric windshield wipers and washers, electric clock, and a utility lamp that extends from the luggage compartment. In addition, this particular car was originally specified with an upgraded four-barrel 306 bhp V-8 engine with 10.5:1 compression – an option that found its way onto relatively few Pontiacs during 1964.

The original owner used this car sparingly, covering only 18,000 miles in 24 years. The second owner used the Pontiac even less frequently compiling only a scant 3,000 miles in his 19 years of ownership.

Decades after it rolled off the showroom floor, it is in as built condition and exceptional, this represents a rare opportunity to acquire a low-mileage, low-production American performance car. This car should be warmly accepted at Pontiac Cub meets and concours or can simply be enjoyed for its delightful open-air driving. It is a chance to experience a return to the enjoyable motoring of the 1960s and acquaint oneself with a unique product from General Motor’s high-performance division.

--Marine Metallic Blue with Cashmere leather interior piped Blue and Tan carpeting, 42,000 miles, 4-speed manual.

In 1987, Porsche debuted a new slantnose body that clearly resembled the 935 racecar and the rare flachtbau, or flatnose-modified bodies of Porsche engineer Rolf Sprenger. Dubbed the 930S, the new model was essentially a turbocharged premium upgrade from the base 911, one that cost an astounding $23,244 extra that included retractable headlights and an assortment of functional vents that aided in engine and brake cooling, the 930S slantnose offered a sleek profile that became an icon of late 1980s styling.

This sleek 930S is fully optioned featuring limited slip differential, air conditioning, sunroof, leather upholstery and heated seats with rare matching blue trim. The car was originally delivered to New York but was later exported to Paris where it remained for 12 years until its current owner, only the third in the life of the car, purchased it following its return to the US.

Recently, Pacific Sports Car of Manhattan Beach, California, performed a major servicing costing in excess of $24,000, the work included resealing the cylinder heads, resurfacing the flywheel and replacing the oil lines, clutch assembly, new fuel distributor, synchros and brake pads. This pristine Slantnose Porsche has been continuously garaged over its lifetime and includes comprehensive documentation of its recent service as well as a certificate of authenticity from Porsche North America. A requisite for any Porsche collector, this 930S is a pristine example of the road-going version of the famous 935 racecar and represents the height of the turbocharged Porsche models of the 1980s.
