In May 2002 Autosport Designs, Inc. was contacted by the Dreamwork Film Production Company to supply a Silver DB5 Coupe (a la James Bond) for its upcoming feature film "Catch Me If You Can." Although we had an abundance of Aston's on hand, we did not have a Silver DB5. Theo Gruttman, the owner of DB5/1715/L was contacted, the deal arranged and yet another Silver DB5 was bound for a film career.
I hope you enjoy the photos from the set, New York City's Park Avenue was transformed back into the 1960's. Just a quick note, the blonde fellow next to the major film star is owner Theo Gruttman, he is shown in this photo quite a bit more at ease, the stunt driver had finally finished the scene after several takes of zipping through traffic on Park Avenue and squealing around several corners!! Theo was quite impressed and relieved to see the suspension and especially brakes on his DB5 to be in such good working order!!
Enjoy,
