356SC Sunroof Coupe

Light Ivory with Blue leather interior, Grey German Square Weave carpeting, Restored, Factory Sunroof Coupe, Matching Numbers, Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, Original California Black Plate, Books, Tools, and Records.

The 356SC was the top of the 356 standard product range in its era, the only thing that would top an SC would be to have a 4-Cam Carrera.

This 356C Sunroof Coupe has enjoyed long time California ownership and three owners from new. It is a numbers matching example with the following factory options, Headrests, Chrome Wheels, Blaupunkt ‘Stuttgart radio, Fog lights, Chrome signal ring, Loudspeakers, Antenna and Seatbelts. It has also been fitted with a Nardi wood rimmed steering wheel.

First restored in 2003, this is a superb example of one of the most desirable 356s. It has always been collector owned, serviced and well-maintained. As a California Black plate example from the 1960s until 2009, this 356SC had been in the San Francisco Bay Area under the care of the same owner, the principal of San Mateo High School. In 2010, this 356SC made its way to the East Coast and where it has since been housed with many other vintage Porsches and in collector ownership.

Most recently, during 2018, Autosport Designs completed a cosmetic restoration for its previous collector-custodian. Always serviced and maintained regardless of use, this 356SC represents a rare opportunity to purchase a numbers matching, freshly restored 356SC Sunroof Coupe in exceptional condition throughout. It is perfect for concours events, touring and rally alike. It has been well-known to Autosport Designs and we fell it is one of the finest we have ever owned, structurally, cosmetically as well as mechanically.
It is complete with all books, tools, records, Porsche Certificate of Authenticity as well as rare factory original Messko tire pressure gauge.
