The GT40 needs no introduction as one of the most storied and successful race cars ever built. Anyone that has seen the recent film Ford v. Ferrari can attest to the importance of the GT40 not just for Ford, but for American racing.

This ERA GT40 was built in 2006 in Left-hand drive. Originally using a Ford 289ci V8, the engine was stroked to 347ci and built by Lawrence Racing Engines of Westhampton Beach, NY. The V8 utilizes Pro Comp aluminum heads, Pro Products intake manifold and a Holley 80770 carburetor. It has been dyno tested at 414bhp at 5,800 rpm with 430 lb. ft. of torque at 4,600 rpm. The V8 is mated to a ZF 5-speed manual gearbox. The left-hand drive cabin features seating for two and is trimmed in Black leather with ring-ventilated bucket seats.

This ERA GT40 has previously been owned in California by a long-time client and friend of Autosport Designs, Inc. It is California registration compliant. Finished in iconic Ford Grabber Orange, this GT40 drives as good as it looks. It placed first in competition class at the 2016 Danville Delegance. It is in exceptional condition throughout and always properly serviced maintained regardless of use by Virtuoso Performance Race shop in the Bay Area. The car exhibits a character that is well-mannered for regular street driving, docile enough for Sunday coffee outings, yet is brutally powerful under spirited driving conditions. This ERA GT40 exhibits a level of mechanical and cosmetic attention throughout, that is truly exceptional in all aspects. A fantastic example of a specific racing icon, this GT40 is ready for immediate enjoyment.
