1989 marked the final year of the G-Series 911s and were the last of the original Porsche 911 design before the 964 bodies launched in 1990. The Carrera 3.2 engine is admired as the pinnacle development of the original 911 that first appeared in 1964. As a final send-off for this generation, Porsche created the Speedster as a nod to the original 356 speedsters of the 1950s. It also coincided as a 25th anniversary for the 911. The Speedster was lighter in weight than a standard Carrera, removing the rear seats, toting a frameless and raked windshield, and a dual hump rear clam.

Factory options: Air conditioning, Steering wheel with elevated hub, Locking differential, Shorter shift lever for G50 transmission, Electrical height adjustments for left and right seats, Luggage compartment instead of rear seats, Amplifier, CD-radio Alpine Porsche CD-2, Draped leather seats.

Only 814 1989 Speedsters were imported into the US making an excellent addition to any Porsche collection. Originally sold new through Porsche of Princeton, the Speedster was purchased in 1994 and has been in long-term Porsche enthusiast ownership since. It has always received proper maintenance from Porsche specialists. A few modifications have been added over the years of ownership including a chrome plated cosmetic roll bar, Authority Performance Engineering (A.P.E.) Mass Air-Flow sensor with appropriately tuned software, Polished stainless steel dual outlet muffler, Fiske Forged 18-inch wheels, slightly lowered suspension, Front tower shock brace, Short shifter, Upgraded stereo system (Blaupunkt head unit and CD changer with Denon power amp), Carpeted mats with speedster logo, Alarm system and installed Passport radar.

The Speedster has only accumulated 6,000 miles in its previous ownership since 1994 while always being superbly maintained regardless of use by Porsche specialists. This is an exceptional opportunity to own the last variation and limited production version of the original 911 in excellent condition throughout. This Speedster is complete with original books, tools, tire kit, spare wheel, jack and service records.
