The Porsche 911 was updated for 2012, known internally as the 991. The 991 is an entirely new platform, only the third since the original 911 that debuted in 1963 as a 1964 model. Speaking of 1963/1964, 2014 represented the 50th anniversary of the 911 model prompting Porsche to commemorate the occasion with a very special edition. Only 1,963 50th anniversary editions were produced making this a rare collector piece in the 911 lineage. The 50th anniversary edition featured the following unique 911 additions; C4S wide body while remaining rear-wheel drive, ride height dropped by 10mm to match the 911 GTS, modern Fuchs-style 20-inch wheels, Black leather seats with Houndstooth inserts, gauges with Green lettering and White needles.
