--Grey metallic (currently wrapped in Silver), Black Corbeau racing seats, Uprated with Datsun 240Z inline 6-cylinder engine with DGV 32/36 Weber carburetors, 4-speed manual gearbox, Wire wheels, one of 325 produced.

Founded by Jimmy Byrnes and Bernie Rodger, Peerless Cars of Slough, England sought to produce their own taste in racing cars rather than “off-the-shelf” rides. With help from the board at Triumph, the new Peerless GT was built around the Triumph TR3 platform. Production ran from 1957 to 1960. The GT featured a tubular space frame with de Dion tube rear suspension and fiberglass bodywork. The factory entered a works car into the 1958 24 Hours of Le Mans, finishing 16th overall. As production expenses mounted, only 325 GTs were produced and a revised version called the Warwick only lasted another two years before Peerless shut down.

This Peerless GT, while rare, has been upgraded into a classic British hotrod. While GTs were originally sourced with 2.0 4-cylinders from the Triumph TR3, this GT has been fitted with a Datsun L24 inline 6-cylinder from a 240Z and uprated with twin Weber DGV 32/36 carburetors. The engine is mated to a 240Z 4-speed manual gearbox. Further upgrades include a custom exhaust with side exit, custom racing-style instrument panel, wire wheels, shaved down rear fins, grille delete, power windows and Corbeau racing seats.

This GT is a cool hot rod and ready to be further tailored to its next owner's style. A classic late 1950s racing style, this Peerless is rare, unique and as usable for Cars and Coffee events as it is for vintage touring events.
