This rare 428 Mustang has been superbly cared for since new. Restored under previous Mustang collector ownership, this Mustang was built on January 23, 1969 at the Metuchen plant in New Jersey and optioned with many rare options including: GT Equipment group, Black power top, C-6 Cruise-O-Matic transmission, Visibility group, Console, Power front disc brakes, Power steering, Interior décor group-Deluxe, AM radio, Tinted glass, and Deluxe belts/warning light.

1969 was the final year to order the Mustang with the GT option. Of the 5,396 GTs produced for 1969, only 30 cars were produced in this spec as a convertible with the Cobra Jet 428 engine, Q-Code (non-ram air) and with the Automatic transmission. This Mustang was also ordered with the upgraded, more luxurious interior with wood trim and Comfortweave bucket seats with headrests, items unavailable on the Mach 1 Mustangs.

Featured in Mustang Monthly on September 1994, this rare 1969 Mustang is superb throughout. It has always seen proper ownership and care having been in Mustang collector ownership for several decades. A truly iconic late 1960s convertible, this Mustang is comfortable, yet dialed in for around-town cruising.
