LM002

--Argento (Silver) with Cream leather interior, Beige carpeting, 5.2-liter DOHC 48-valve V-12 engine with 450bhp, 5-speed manual transmission, Well serviced by by well-known marques specialist, Long-term collector ownership.

The LM 002 was first introduced as a concept car known as the Cheetah in the late 1970s. The Cheetah was a mid-engine truck designed to be used by the military. These plans fell through so Lamborghini decided to make a civilian version and resurrect these plans in the mid-1980s. The mid-engine Chrysler V8 layout was changed in favor of a front engine Lamborghini V12 sourced from none other than the Countach. The LM 002 boasted a 76-gallon fuel tank and specially designed Pirelli Scorpion tires—a run-flat design reinforced with Kevlar that could also handle extreme desert heat. Just over 300 examples of the LM 002 were produced between 1986 and 1993. No SUV has since come close to Lamborghini's outrageous monster - it remains truly unique.

This LM 002 was produced in May of 1987. While early history is unknown, this “Rambo Lambo” has been in exceptional collector ownership care for the previous 10 years. An enormous amount of money was spent towards comprehensive servicing during the previous several years to ensure all systems are in excellent working order. Servicing included new clutch assembly, new flywheel, shock rebuild, brake cylinder rebuild and all new hoses, new windshield, new door seals, new tires, new mirrors and a complete engine compartment disassembly and refinishing. Normal yearly maintenance has also been performed to keep all servicing current.

We have owned several LM 002's through the years and have seen them in all types of condition. A recent road test (video link below) will attest to this particular LM 002 driving extremely well and with and all systems working as they should and as originally intended by the factory when new. Ready for immediate use, the LM 002 is most certainly the center of attention wherever it goes.
