This increase power is derived from a revised intake, exhaust, and ion-sensing knock detection system which allows a higher compression ratio in the engine. The transmission was also refreshed with the new Superfast2 software allowing for 60 millisecond shift times.

Performance comes from a 4.3 liter V8 code named F136 comes with 503 hp and 347 lb-ft of torque. This propels the car from 0-62mph in 3.6 seconds with a top speed of 198 mph. It is the lightest of the F430 model range with a curb weight of 3,150 lbs.
