The Prowler is a unique retro styled car with a the engine in the front and transmission in the rear. The intention was to create a “hot rod” inspired vehicle which would be in the lime light after the show stopping Dodge Viper. This 2001 model features the desirable updated powertrain producing 254 horsepower, a 39 horsepower jump, with an electronically limited top speed of 126 mph.
Chrysler charged $600 (about $900 in 2021) for the Mulholland Edition package, which added light blue pinstriping and a blue soft top, among other equipment. Sources state around 1,281 units were ordered with the Mulholland Edition package.
