This original USA specification Daytona was completed at the factory in May of 1972 and delivered shortly thereafter to be delivered to Chinetti-Garthwaithe Ferrari for its first registered owner.

In 1975 it was traded by its first owner to FAF Ferrari in Atlanta, Georgia. It was soon purchased by its second owner who kept the car briefly before selling to its third owner, also a Georgia resident. At this time, this Daytona had covered 29,000 miles. While in this owners care, the Daytona was a regular at regional FCA events.
In May of 1978 this Daytona was on the West Coast and with Ferrari of Los Gatos being offered for sale after having been traded. Subsequently sold, it remained on the West Coast and in the late 1980's was the recipient of a complete and thorough restoration.

In 1989 this Daytona was sold to a well-known West Coast collector and housed in an exceptional collection with many of its Italian brothers and sisters. It remained in this ownership and collection until 2005 when it was sold to it last owner, also a well-known collector-collection.

With limited mileage since its restoration, this Daytona has always been cared for regardless of expense and has never been in an accident or in need of rust repair. This Daytona has recently received a major service, head gaskets and new clutch. It is one of the finest examples on the market and ready for immediate use.
