280 SL Roadster

Horizon Blue with Blue leather interior and Blue carpeting, Restored, Automatic transmission, Factory air conditioning.
This 280 SL Pagoda has had four owners from new. Each has pampered this SL from new and has only used it seasonally and in proper weather conditions. For most of the 1980s to almost present time, it has been owned and used for as a Long Island, NY Hamptons tourer and used sparingly given the short summer season.
In 2010, this 280 SL was acquired by renowned California Mercedes-Benz specialist Scott Grundfor, who carefully tended to the mechanicals. In early 2011, soon after being acquired by the previous owner, this 280 SL was treated $30,000 in restoration work. This included high-quality repaint in its original shade of DB 304 Horizon Blue, as well as the replacement of numerous items with factory NOS parts. The engine bay has been carefully detailed and the interior consists of reupholstered blue seats and matching carpets.
This well-optioned 280 SL offers an automatic transmission, air conditioning, AM/FM radio, bumper guards, and both hard and soft tops. Outfitted with headrests and accompanied by a tool kit and owners manuals, this Pagoda is exceptional in every respect and must be one of the best examples of this modern classic available.
With its recently serviced and characteristically dependable engine, this Mercedes-Benz is a testament to the sporty appeal of the 1960s SL and awaiting its next new home.
