250 GT Boano Low-Roof Berlinetta

--Grigio Ferro with Cuoio leather interior and Saddle Tan carpeting, Restored, Rare 1 of 63 "Low Roof" 250 GT Boanos manufactured, Steel bodied, Matching Numbers, 3.0 liter V-12 Columbo engine with three Weber 36 DCF Carburetors, 4-speed manual, Four wheel drum brakes, Borrani wire wheels, Documented by Massini.

This 250 GT Boano was sold new to its first registered owner Ettore Contini in Italy. One year later, it was returned to the factory and sold to Tore Bjurström, the Swedish Ferrari Importer, Orebro, Sweden and where it was sold to its second registered owner, Dick Weider, also a Swedish resident. 1965 saw this Boano finding its third owner, also a Swedish resident, Bjoern Colliander. The 250 GT was kept by Colliander and cross the Atlantic with Colliander during his relocation to the United States.

In 1974, this 250 GT Boano was in the ownership of Newman Chittenden, Mahopac, NY/USA. It was kept in Chittenden's ownership through 1983 and when sold through well-known and respected Ferrari dealer, Steve of Foreign Cars Italia, Greensboro, NC to Mr. Wessel, also a North Carolina resident.

1989-1992 and while in the ownership of Joe Konis, Gardena, CA/USA saw the Boano being offered for sale through various dealers, the Auto Toy Store, Fort Lauderdale, FL/USA, Ferrari of Walnut Creek, Walnut Creek, CA/USA, Ferrari of San Francisco, Mill Valley, CA/USA, Ferrari broker Mark Ketcham, Mill Valley, CA/USA.

August 1992 saw the Boano owned by Andrew Turner, Italian Motors, Hong Kong, but with Mike Sheehan, European Auto Sales, Costa Mesa, CA/USA being offered for sale.

October 1993, this 250 GT Boano was sold to John Zambetti, Malibu, CA/USA who kept it through 2013 and showed it at various concours and driving events...

--June 1995, Displayed at the Rosso Rodeo Concours on Rodeo Drive, Beverly Hills, CA.
--August 1995, Ferrari Club of America Pacific Region meeting at Carmel Valley, CA.
--August 1995, the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elégance in Class M-1, winner of a silver award.
--August 2000, the Ferrari Club of America Vintage Ferrari Concours at Concorso Italiano, winner of a Gold award in Class 1.
--April 2001, Driven in the Tour de France Automobile in France by Zambetti/Zambetti.
--May 2001, The Rodeo Drive Concours in Beverly Hills, CA.
--June 2001, The California Classic on Rodeo Drive by Zambetti.
--May 2002, The 39th Annual Ferrari Club of America National Field Concours, Century Plaza, LA. CA & FCA driving event, --California Speedway, Fontana, CA.
--2013 Still owned by Zambetti, offered for sale at the RM Auction in Monterey, CA/USA.

Purchased at auction by Shawn Williams of EM Motorcars, seemingly on behalf of David Raisbeck, Minnesota/USA.

in 2015, Raisbeck showed the Boano at the 24th Annual Palm Beach Cavallino Classic held at The Breakers in Palm Beach, FL/USA.

Used and enjoyed for many years, the Boano was then entrusted to Ferrari dealer Continental Autosports, its owner commissioning a no expense spared sympathetic restoration of its mechanicals and cosmetics. No detail was left untouched, while still allowing a certain patina throughout to show how well it had been preserved throughout the years. The result is a superb 250 GT Boano throughout.

Since, it has been shown at The Cavallino Classic and most recently and in its most recent ownership, it was shown at The Bridge VI where fashion designer, Zegna, performed a photo shoot for advertisement on social media.

Owned by a collector/collection in Virginia/USA, it has not only been used for concours, but also for road use to be properly exercised.

Complete with ownership, service and restoration histories, this 250 GT Boano is eligible for many prestigious concours and driving events throughout the world. it would be a welcomed addition to events such as The Mille Miglia Retrospective, Colorado Grand, California Mille, Tour Auto and Targa Florio.
