With just 1580 examples built, the 1973 Carrera RS are in high demand in todays market and prices have risen drastically. Consequently, replicas-clones built using a variety of 911s (and even 912s) as bases are popular, particularly since it is relatively easy to achieve the look of the original RS.

Starting with a 1987 Carrera Coupe, this 911 has been created using only the best parts on the market. This 911 RS Close was built approximately five years ago in Canada by a Porsche enthusiast and subsequently sold a couple of years after to its present California owner. Body parts were supplied by MA Shaw. The interior has received an Alcantara wrapped dash, Recaro rectractable racing seats, Momo steering wheel, Brushed aluminum gauge bezels, Wevo shifter for smooth and precise shifting and RS style door panels.

Mechanically it has received a Dansk stainless steel sport exhaust, SSI stainless steel heat exchangers, front mounted oil cooler and performance chip from 911 Chips.

The suspension has been updated to Bilstein sport with coil-overs and has been professionally corner balanced. It has also been equipped with 17 Lindsey Racing wheels.

Cosmetically this 911 was fully repainted in 2010 to bring to its current exceptional standard, rally lights were supplied and fitted at this time.

This 911 has been serviced when and where needed by well-known Aase Motors in California to date.

Recently consigned to Autosport Designs, Inc., this 911 is offered for a fraction of the price of an original as well as a fraction of its original build cost.
