356A Speedster

Ruby Red with Tan interior, Tan German Square Weave carpeting, Tan top and side curtains, Extremely Rare Glasspar Hardtop and Windows, 356 Outlaw style mechanical upgrades.

Restored with factory standard body, this 1958 Porsche 356 A Speedster features 356 Outlaw style mechanical upgrades. Among them is the addition of disc brakes front and rear as well as a tweaked 1,750 cc engine sourced from a Porsche 912 thats topped by a pair of DellOrto twin-choke carburetors delivering almost twice the output of the Speedsters original engine. An improved later-model Type 741 gearbox, as used after 1960 on production Porsche 356s, provides synchromesh gear selection for smoother shifts and the ability to tolerate the greater power output.

The Speedsters structure features excellent floors and the car retains all matching body panels, including the doors, deck lid, and hood. The structural longitudinal members in the floors are also original to the car.

In addition to its Tan soft top and original top frame, this Speedster is equipped with a very rare period hardtop manufactured by Glasspar, accompanied by a matching pair of Glasspar side windows.

This Speedster is complete with records and tool kits and offers the best of both worlds, original body for the sleeper look as well as 356 outlaw performance, handling and stopping power. This is an ideal 356 Speedster for show, road use as well as the various vintage tours it is eligible for.
