This F40 is one of just 213 manufactured for the USA market. Sold to its first registered owner in California, this F40 has been collector owned and shown at various concours events since its purchase. It was first shown at several Ferrari Owners Club regional concours as well as Concorso Italiano. Always maintained properly, it was traded to Ferrari of Beverly Hills in 1995 with only 6,000 miles when its owner took delivery of an F50.
It was sold to another collector in Illinois where it was rarely used and remained as a show piece.
In 2002 it was purchased by its most recent owner and used approximately 100 miles per year to date to merely exercise the car to keep it in good order.
This F40 is exceptional in every respect and has only been in the hands of knowledgeable and passionate collectors. It has all its books, pouches, tools, records from new as well as documentation and blessing by Ferrari historian Marcel Massini. It has never sustained any type of damage and most recently received $30,000 worth of service and maintenance by Ferrari specialists to bring to as close to new condition as possible.
