Back in the early 1970s, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, Iran's last Shah needed 20,000 desert-ready trucks to fortify the country's military. The Shah, a man of massive wealth, an autophile, and a Mercedes-Benz shareholder, went to the company about the possibility of fulfilling the order. They got to work creating the Geländewagen, often called “the Wolf” when used in a military context. It was a boxy beast capable of performing many functions, on or off paved roads. At its core, it lives up to its name, which translates roughly to “terrain vehicle,” sporting short overhangs, a suspension ahead of its time and locking differentials, then in 1979 it became available as a standard civilian vehicle, its ruggedness and go anywhere capability has truly stood the test of time.

This “Wolf” has undergone a full restoration by "Expedition Motor Company", known for their G-Wagen builds, they put approximately 2,100-man hours into this Build leaving no stone unturned. This included a full engine rebuild, transmission refurbishment, transfer case refurbishment, axles and suspension refurbishment, full brake system servicing, new wheels and tires, chassis/frame cleaning and metal treating, full body off repair/repaint, new brake and fuel lines, full new custom interior, heated front seats and additionally fitted with Air conditioning, full soft top, bikini top, electric remote winch, new stereo, custom painted to match jerry can, custom painted to match mounted shovel, Air snorkel and LED lighting.

A truly off-road capable G-Wagen but just at home going to dinner going to the beach or just out cruising enjoying open air motoring.
