—British Racing Green with Cinnamon leather interior, Tan carpeting, Cinnamon convertible top, Restored by Jaguar specialists, Rebuilt V12 uprated to Fuel injected 7.0 Liter 462bhp dyno test, 4-speed manual, Wire wheels, Collector owned, Superb throughout.
Although early history is unknown, this V12 Roadster was manufactured on March 31, 1972 and delivered to New York. Having remained in the Northeast from new, it was acquired by a collector in 1996 who immediately commissioned a no expense spared restoration. A correct spec V12 was fitted and over $100,000 was spent to bring this V12 E-Type into concours condition. After 19 years, this collector sold the E-Type to another collector and long-time friend and client of Autosport Designs in Virginia.
While cosmetically in excellent condition throughout, the E-type went through a complete restoration and refreshening in excess of $150,000.
Jaguar specialists White Post Restorations in Virginia along with Classic Jaguar in Texas uprated and stroked the V12 to 7.0 Liters. Further enhancements include mild porting of heads and custom valve job, 10:1 compression JE pistons, Jenvey EFI system, Jaguar factory fuel injection fast road cams, Stainless sport exhaust system, custom headers, Fosseway drilled front brakes and a HP radiator. All engine mechanicals have been completely gone through, absolutely no expense was spared to make this an uprated, fast and comfortable V12 roadster. The engine was Dyno tested at 462bhp at 4,850 rpm and 523 ft. lbs. of torque with a 6,200 rpm redline.
Taken on trade only a few years ago by Autosport Designs, this Jag was sold to another long time client and friend of ours. During this ownership, it has been serviced regularly by us and has received concours detailing to bring to its best condition ever, it has since been used for periodic concours showing while still being used for seasonal use and enjoyment
This E-type is accompanied by all its ownership, restoration and service histories as well as its owners manual, spare wheel and tool kit.
As one of the last of the breed, this Series III E-Type presents in superb condition in all areas, cosmetically, mechanically and structurally. With its upgraded engine, this E-Type is a very special example of a Series III V12 that is absolutely exceptional in ever respect.
