1952 Nash

Healey Roadster

Teal with Tan leather and Tan top, Tonneau and Weather equipment, 43,000 original miles, 4.1 liter engine producing 140 HP, 3-speed manual transmission with overdrive.

The president of Nash Motors and British sports car builder Donald Healey met in 1949 when they were passengers on the Queen Mary, bound for New York. They decided to develop a line of cars powered by Nash engines and sold through Nash dealerships. Thus, we have the Nash Healey, which in 1952 benefited from design work by Pininfarina. However, only a few more than 500 cars were constructed before Nash was absorbed into American Motors.

The cars came complete with chrome wheel discs, adjustable steering wheel, leather upholstery, directional signals, foam rubber cushions, and five four-ply whitewall tires.

The new Roadster made its debut at the Chicago Auto Show in February of 1952. A Nash-Healey was entered in the 1952 Le Mans race where it emerged First in Class and third overall. A total of 58 cars had entered the race with only 17 crossing the finish line. The hardtop versions are often referred to as the Le Mans Coupe.

This 1952 Nash Healey Roadster chassis number N2285 and engine number NHA1198 is 1 of 150 produced in 1952. In a private collection since 1969, it is complete, correct, numbers matching and rust free.

This Roadster had a drivers quality re-paint and re-trim approximately 6 years ago, fluids changed, carburetors cleaned, new battery and has been sparingly driven ever since. It has recently purchased from its long term ownership, a new battery was installed and the car started and drove immediately. It has been road tested, it drives, stops, shifts and idles properly.

This Nash Healey is a great candidate for a complete and thorough show restoration or a complete serving and use as is.

This is a great asset to any collection and eligible for many of the worlds top events including the Mille Miglia. Nash Healey Roadsters have been rising in value and consistently sell in the six figures at auction.
