Black with Red leather interior and Red carpeting, 30,000 miles from new, Factory a/c, Original Becker AM/FM radio, Borrani wire wheels fitted with Michelin XWX's, Full service and ownership history, Documented by Massini.

This Daytona was completed on 31 August 1972 and supplied to Ferrari west coast distributor Bill Harrahs Modern Classic Motors in Reno, Nevada. In October of 1972, the car was sold new by Steve Griswold & Co. in Berkeley, California to George Dyer, who owned a dark blue 250 GTO (currently on display at the Ferrari museum in Modena), as well as a Lamborghini Miura SV. Dyer kept the car until 1981, when he sold it to a Dennis Glavis of Santa Cruz, California. Glavis still owned the car in 1994, at which time it showed 28,585 original miles. He sold the car shortly thereafter, at which time its color combination was changed from original color of Rosso Ferrari (Red)/ Beige interior to its current combination of Black/Red.

The Daytona was then sold to a Japanese collector where it remained for 10 years prior to being returned to the United States, where it resided in a collection in Texas. By 2010, the car was showing 30,223 miles.

The Daytona was comprehensively serviced in 2013, including cylinder head rebuilds with new valve guides, porting and polishing, setting the valve clearances, and refinishing the valve covers. The carburetors were rebuilt, the ignition system serviced, the alternator rebuilt, and all new fluids and filters fitted. The ignition system has been uprated to electronic and the cooling system has the addition of an extra cooling fan. The engine compartment is nicely detailed and needs nothing at this time. Just recently, this Daytona was inspected on our behalf by Patrick Ottis and Company and found to be in superb running and driving condition.

The cosmetic condition is excellent. The paintwork was done to high standards and is still excellent. The panel fit is excellent and the car is fitted with 3M clear bra on the front to protect the paintwork.
The interior is excellent overall condition with original mouse fur dashboard. The leather is also excellent with only an area of light wear on the drivers seat bolster. The instruments and switches are excellent throughout as is the remaining upholstery. The speedometer face has been re silk screened to show in kilometers, but the odometer remains unaltered and records in miles as per original.

The trunk is also excellent with correct carpeting as well as having a correct Borrani wire wheel spare with Michelin XWX tire.

This is an excellent opportunity to acquire a low mileage, matching-numbers Daytona that has known history from new. It has been enthusiastically owned with only 30,000 miles from new, freshly serviced and complete with books and tools/tool roll. Offering some of the best performance in the classic Ferrari world, the Daytona represents superb value for money with significant appreciation potential.
