History&

• Shipped on June 11, 1956 from Mercedes Benz factory directly to Mexico via official dealer Delta Mexico;




• The Mercedes Benz Registry/Factory records show only one White/Red 300 SL Gullwing (this cars original colors) being imported to Mexico;




• Photos taken in 1956 show world famous Mexican actor Pedro Infante at the wheel of the car in period;




• Optioned with Becker-Mexico radio, and standard wheels;




• This Gullwing had three Mexican owners (documented by Mercedes Benz) until it was purchased by another well-known Mexican collector (also documented) in 1986. At this time, the Gullwing was sent to California to be restored by Sebastian Dominguez, who has claimed several Pebble Beach Best of Show wins;




• In 1989, the Gullwing returned to Mexico after the completion of its restoration and was exhibited in on several occasions/events until 2011;




• In 2012, this Gullwing was purchased by its current owner and entrusted to Mexican restorer Fernando Gomez Urquiza. At this time it was desided by its new owner to change the color combination to its current and incredibly attractive combination of Anthracite Grey Metallic (DB172) with Cream (1060). Mr. Urquiza is well known as the caretaker of many, if not all of the 300 SLs and who has been awarded Best of Show at various Gullwing Group conventions which are quite demanding, competing against only the best 300 SLs. • 2012-2013: The Gullwing has been subject to a complete refreshing which has included Complete paint, Interior, Engine and Mechanical overhaul to world class standards. Every single detail has been taken care of to make this Gullwing as close to perfect as possible;




• When completed, it was shown on April 12, 2013 at Mexicos most prestigious classic car event the Concurso de la Elegancia, well known for the high quality concours cars being judged. This 300 SL Gullwing was awarded Best of Show, even though the previous years Best of Show winner had also been a 300SL. The judges believed itwas so perfect they had to give the award for the second year in a row to a Mercedes 300 SL Gullwing;
