Imported to the USA shortly after its original build, this Boxer was sold to its first owner, Mr. Tom Marron of Bellmore, New York, through Steven Kessler Motor Cars, New York Citys Ferrari franchise dealer at the time. In the early 1990s, the Boxer had been traded back by Mr. Marron to Steven Kessler Motor Cars.

In 1993, this Boxer was owned by Mr. Bruce Perrone, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with 3,400 kilometers showing on its odometer. Mr. Perrone retained the car for only two years, offering it for sale in the Ferrari Market Letter in September of 1995, stating that it now had 4,300 kilometers in the advertisement. It is believed that the car remained in the Pittsburgh area until at least 2003. Sometime thereafter, it was acquired by a New York based collector. In mid-2015, Autosport Designs performed an engine out major service and prepared the car to show standards. It was then sold to a California based Ferrari collector. Most recently this 512 BBi has received an $11,000 service at GTO Engineering in Los Angeles to keep in top form in every area.
