Camaro Z28 Rally-Sport Coupe

Dover White with Black stripes, Black interior and carpeting, 302 Cu. In. DZ specification V8 engine, 4-speed manual, Numbers Matching, 1,739 miles, restored.

Chevrolet created a legend with the Z/28, and once Mark Donohue and Roger Penske teamed up, they proved it was ideal for the SCCA Trans Am series. The result was winning the SCCA championship in 1968 and 1969 was part of the Z28 legacy, which these specialty street releases were built upon.

This Norwood built Camaro is a true Z/28 X33 with Rally-Sport package and is the beneficiary of a frame-up restoration.

Featuring the race-derived DZ code 302 engine, Muncie 4-speed transmission, 12-bolt differential and the fabled chambered-exhaust layout that eliminated conventional mufflers.

Paintwork is correct Dover White with black stripes and features a rare Endura front bumper.

Other body components include front and rear spoilers, Z28 badging, Rally wheels and Goodyear Wide Tread GT tires. The interior is the original correct Black Vinyl throughout, with chrome Hurst floor shifter, tachometer, center fuel gauge, and cushioned vinyl bucket seats, full Instrumentation with dash tachometer and console gauges. Additional Z/28 features include Rally-Sport hideaway headlamp package, large rear bumper guards, power front disc brakes, Soft-Ray window glass throughout.

This Z/28 maintains the correct special suspension with staggered rear shocks and 4-leaf rear springs along with front sway bar, heavy duty 21" radiator & 6-blade clutch fan, deep grove pulleys as well as correct X33 Z/28 stampings.

This is a fantastic example that is ready for immediate enjoyment or Concours events.
