1987 BMW M6 COUPE
Cinnabar Red with with Lotus leather interior, Beige carpeting, 19,000 miles, 3.5 liter inline 6 cylinder engine, 5-speed manual transmission, Single unbroken ownership from new.
The first generation M6 was critically acclaimed throughout its lifespan for its elegant, aggressive "shark-nose" styling; yet another masterpiece of contemporary design by maestro Paul Bracq. Luxury and performance were also period hallmarks, and a top speed of 158 mph at that time, the fastest production BMW built, next to the M1. Rug Cunningham, of Cunningham BMW, infamously entered a completely stock 1987 U.S. M6 in the La Carrera Classic Race in Mexico in 1989 and recorded an indicated top speed of 176 mph and wonderful Air Conditioning.
This highly optioned M6 Coupe has previously been owned by a single fastidious enthusiast/collector and has been exceptionally well kept and cared for to date and retains every bit of originality to delight a BMW enthusiast.
