911 Speedster

Silver metallic with Marine Blue partial leather interior, Charcoal carpeting, Dark Blue top, 17,000 original miles, Rare color combination, Porsche collector owned.

1989 marked the final year of the G-Series 911s and were the last of the original Porsche 911 design before the 964 bodies launched in 1990. The Carrera 3.2 engine is admired as the pinnacle development of the original 911 that first appeared in 1964. As a final send-off for this generation, Porsche created the Speedster as a nod to the original 356 speedsters of the 1950s. It also coincided as a 25th anniversary for the 911. The Speedster was more striped-out than a standard Carrera, removing the rear seats, toting a frameless, raked windshield and a dual hump tonneau cover at the rear.

Factory options: Air Conditioning, Amplifier System, Alarm System, Rim Caps with Crests, Shortened Gear Shift Lever, Cruise Control.

Only 814 1989 Speedsters were imported into the US and many of which were painted white, red, or black. This rare Speedster in Silver metallic with Marine Blue interior and a Dark Blue top certainly makes an excellent addition to any Porsche collection. This Speedster was driven less than 6,000 miles for its first eleven years and spent more than eight years in Southern California where it was meticulously maintained and serviced by Ray Stephens Automotive in Costa Mesa, California. It was then serviced by Canepa in Scotts Valley, CA. In 2012, this Speedster was purchased from it California owner, transported to New York and sold to its last and most recent collector home. It has only accumulated 2,000 miles in since 2012 and has been maintained by Autosport Designs regardless of use. It has only just been traded to Autosport Designs in a multi-car transaction.

This is an exceptional opportunity to own the last variation and limited production version of the original 911 in excellent condition throughout. This Speedster is complete with books, service records as well as factory tools and jack.
