With the sporting BMW E9 coupes ending production due to increasing safety standards in the mid-1970s, BMW launched the E24, a very sleek, well balanced grand tourer designed by Paul Bracq. This 633 is an iconic and rare example of the E24 6-series coupes. With BMWs history of iconic six-cylinder engines, the 633 was produced with the fuel injected M30/B32 engine making 197hp and 210 ft-lbs of torque. This made the E24 one of the quickest sport luxury automobiles produced at the time.
This 633CSI in its rare color combination has been superbly cared for over its lifetime judging by its superb condition as presented today with all systems in working order and as originally intended. Originally sold by BMW of Monterey, California, this 633 was optioned with an electric sunroof, power windows and air conditioning. It remained in California for the past 42 years.
In exceptional original condition and with only 36,000 miles from new, this 633 CSI is complete with its original books, tools, jack and spare wheel and ready for immediate use. An extremely rare find, this 633 is an absolute time capsule.
