The WC50 Edition celebrated the 50th anniversary of John Coopers Formula 1 title with Jack Brabham at the wheel. Only 500 were produced for the world with only 50 entering the US. This was only due to US Mini dealers outcry feeling left out of the worldly limited edition. This is one of the rarest Mini Coopers ever manufactured. The WC50 Edition utilizes the hot version of the Cooper John Cooper Works edition with 211bhp and 192 lb. ft. of torque.
Building from the JCW mechanicals, the WC50 Edition has many exclusive trim pieces. Standard equipment featured all regular optional Mini packages (Convenience package, Cold weather package and Harmon Kardon sound system with Bluetooth and USB audio). Along with the exclusive Connaught Green paint, the WC50 has a full JCW carbon fiber package, which includes the hood scoop, mirror caps, tailgate handle, and rear diffuser. It also features the JCW aerodynamic kit, additional front driving lights, 17-inch black aluminum-alloy wheels, bi-xenon headlights, Pepper White hood stripes with John Coopers signature and its corresponding number sequence plaque (#427 of 500) on both front fenders. The interior of the WC50 features all the goodies as well with full JCW components, sport steering wheel, Black leather with Red piping and dash trim, Carbon fiber trim on the dash and door panels, and a John Cooper signature plaque on the dash.
This rare Mini Cooper S is in superb original condition throughout. Always maintained regardless of use, the WC50 is an excellent piece of Mini and John Coopers heritage.
