DB6 Vantage Coupe

--Silver Birch with Black leather interior and Black carpeting, Completely Restored, Factory LHD, Factory Vantage specifications, Bespoke modern automatic transmission as well as Autosport Designs bespoke air conditioning, Absolutely superb in every respect.

This rare factory DB6 Vantage Coupe has been well-known to Autosport Designs, having been purchased in 2000 from well-known Aston Martin collector Mr. Alexander Knapp-Voith, Switzerland. At the time, the DB6 had accumulated limited mileage since having been restored by well-known and respected UK Aston specialists, Aston Engineering. Sold almost immediately to Mr. M. Mahoney, North Carolina, USA, the DB6 was flown to New York with final delivery to Autosport Designs.

The DB6 remained in Mr. Mahoney's ownership for the next twenty years. Used sparingly due to an extremely busy work schedule and travel, the DB6 was maintained when and where needed regardless of cost. It received routine journeys to Autosport Designs for scheduled service and maintenance. In 2019, the DB6 was repurchased by Autosport Designs.

In excellent “older” restored condition, it was decided to restore-refresh the DB6 to be in as new condition throughout with added personal bespoke additions. It received a bespoke 4-speed automatic transmission. Unlike the original 3-speed Borg warner automatic transmission, typically referred to as a “slush box”, this conversion has turned the DB6 into superb car for around town use, as well highway touring. For those who are skeptical, one drive will change even the mind of the most diehard of 5-speed manual enthusiasts. It is that good and well suited to the power and rear end gearing, just a joy with ease of use. Another addition is the fitment of modern air conditioning to replace the factory air conditioning system as originally supplied when new. The factory system is mediocre at best, the new system with far better output and custom fabricated outlets fitted to the dash and center console lower panels, almost hidden, is absolutely exceptional. I can attest to road testing this DB6 in 90 degree weather and stop and go traffic and its being the first vintage Aston air conditioning system where I had to turn the fan speed down due to its becoming too cold.

The DB6 was stripped to metal, repainted, chrome refinished, interior gone through, mechanicals redone, suspension, brake and exhaust system restored, new wheels tires, nothing was overlooked.

Just recently the DB6 Vantage was used on this year's the New England 1000 miles rally and ran flawlessly.

A rare DB6 Vantage in restored condition with limited mileage since its being dialed in from restoration, it is ready for immediate use and enjoyment.
