Prior to restoration, this 280 SL earner AACA Senior National honors in 2007. Although already superb and without issue, it was decided to perform and exceptional detailed restoration during 2012 and 2013 by David Latham and his specialists at well-known Mercedes Benz restoration facility Budds Benz in Georgia. It was restored in its original color combination and painstakingly finished to the highest standards with as many factory original new parts as possible to create what is essentially a brand new 280 SL Roadster. This 280 SL is complete with factory correct decals, emblems and hanging tags. It is also accompanied by its factory data card as well as original owners manual and tool kit.

Following the completion of the 280s restoration, it earned Best of Show and Peoples Choice awards at the 2013 MBCA Peachtree Concours dElegance.

Subsequently sold at auction, this 280 SL was purchased by one of our good clients, kept in his New York collection, serviced by Autosport Designs and only recently traded towards another one of our automotive orphans from our inventory.
