Originally am inline 4-cylinder in 1974, BMW face-lifted the 5-Series in 1976 and introduced their renowned inline 6 and then added fuel injection in 1977/1978. The 1976 face-lift included wider taillights, fuel door on opposite side, redesigned hood with a power bulge, and the dashboard vents were repositioned to improve air distribution in the cabin.

This immaculate 528i has had one West Coast family ownership from new until 2017 when purchased by a New York collector. Most recently, the 528i received a $15,000 servicing by Autosport Designs to bring to outstanding condition and without disappointment in any way. A 30k mile service was performed with all fluids and filters, new spark plugs, new seals for front and rear glass, new drive belts, alternator, a new headliner, and new tires. The 528i includes all original books, tools, sales brochures, build sheet, unused spare wheel and tire as well as an additional spare wheel and tire.
