The F12 TdF short for Tour de France, is effectively the successor to the 599 GTO. It is a hardcore, faster, track-focused (but road-legal) iteration of Maranellos front-engine V12 cars. The F12s 6.3-litre V12 has been uprated from 730 to 769bhp due to race-spec tappets and variable geometry intake trumpets, that maximum power arriving at 8,500rpm before an 8,900 rpm redline. The F12s double-clutch box has been revised for TdF duty, with upshifts quickened by 30%, and downshifts by 40%. The TdF gains massive aerodynamic devices to generate negative lift with a larger splitter, dive planes and floor wings, along with ‘Aerobridge additions behind the front wheels. The rear spoiler is longer and taller, and even more underbody cleverness to suck the F12 to the road. At 124mph (200kmh), the TdF makes over 507 lbs of downforce, nearly double that of the standard F12. The TdF weighs in at about 250 lbs lighter than a standard F12 and Ferraris figures claim a 2.9 second 0-60. It laps Ferraris Fioranos test track just 1.3 seconds behind the LaFerrari.
